Term Paper & M.Sc. Dissertation Processing

Dear Fourth Sem (old) students,

Students who have completed term paper viva examination are suggested to submit 2 copies with hard cover binding to the department (also the fee / Rs. 4300/-) as soon as possible. Only 16 students have submitted till yesterday. We need to send these copies to the Dean Office. I suggest sending the Final Corrected pdf to head@cdp.tu.edu.np address as well (this can be done afterward). 

Regarding the M.Sc. dissertation submission (those who have completed and written as per the format of M.Sc. Dissertation), we have planned to begin viva examination from the very next day of the result. For this, I suggest to follow following process:

>> Check your Dissertation as per format (I have received 6 dissertations till date / none of these are as per format) - check format for font, font size, spacing, reference citation in the text, reference list, equations, leveling, figure captions, table captions, front matter and chapters). We do not send dissertations for PG checking if it is not as M.Sc. (Physics) Dissertation Format 2073. (Find attachment for the format)

>> Submit pdf to the Supervisor for final checking (content as well as format) making cc to head@cdp.tu.edu.np. After the correction, supervisors are suggested to go back to the students as soon as possible. Students can submit officially (hard copies / filling this form and required documents) to the department. Here I have sent the 'Thesis Submission Form'. (find attachment)

>> Plagiarism level is set as below 30% by word count. No viva examination will be held if PG level is 30% or more. 

>> Viva examination will be held online on every Tuesday & Friday only. The time will be fixed after the consultation with examiners. 

>> Submission to the gmail (this mail) will not be accepted. You need to submit hard copies to the department and pdf to head@cdp.tu.edu.np

A few students have not submitted term papers, they need to fill the examination form again to give term paper viva examination, only in the next semester. They will be supposed to 'absent' in the examination.

Note: I will not be able to reply to the individuals. If you have any confusion, ask with your Supervisors/Guide.
