Today Holiday: TU Day

Dear First and Fourth sem students,

Today is holiday because of TU day. Our department will remain close.

(Though there will be a formal ceremony organized by central office at Smriti Bhawan around 10:00 today.)

On Thursday, I am planning to take 2 fourth semester classes, as follows:
10:15-11:15 - Astrophysics II
11:30-12:30 - Particle Physics (combined)

In Astrophysics, I will begin 'Standard Big Bang Model' by discussing Planck epoch and GUT epoch. In particle physics, we extend the things that we derived in the last class and move to the validity of Born approximation and derive Born formula for scattering.

I am taking these extra classes because I might be absent during first three days of next week;

I need to take 3-4 classes to the first semester as well.  I will inform you in next week.
