Thesis of Kushal Rijal (857/072) for Plagiarism checking: Report
Dear Kushal,
Go to the attachment and correct the thesis where ever the mark/indicator (I used annotation tool: yello marker is for the correction, green underline for plagiarism, there are also a few comments/suggestion in dialog box) is given.
According to plagscan software, Plagiarism level of your dissertation is 24%, less than the recommended 30% limit. This software counts the words, mostly came from introduction and literature review section in your case. If you wish you can reduce PG level by restructuring the sentences that I have marked! You should remember that you need to rephrase with different verbs to reduce PG level. Just by re-writing it do not work well.
Still there are many errors regarding the format. You need to correct the following carefully (before submission):
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
>> I have gone through a few literature dealing synthesized MXenes, found that it should be written normal, similar to other chemical species. You have written it in the form of italic. Italic is only for the variables and quotations in the scientific documents. In M.Sc. dissertation, we recommend to use normal for chemical species. It should be normal through out the document. Discuss with your supervisor and justify why you have made MXene italik?
>> I could not find any reference in the first page, where you defined MXenes. There should be reference.
>> Fig. 1.1 and Fig. 1.2 are not cited in the text. The figure should be explained somewhere in the text. One can not put figure without explanation.
>> Unit should not be italic, it should be normal (e.g., p- 2, 3, ....). Make it normal through out the document!
>> Fig. 1.3 is not cited. If you have made it using software. Write it in the caption!
>> Equation (2.22) should not be cited as (22)! It should be (2.22). This sort of equation citation is found in a few pages. In other pages, its as per format. I wondor why you have used different patterns in different pages??
>> Page - 12, 16, 20, 21, 26, .... in many places, there is '[?]' or [??], place appropriate reference number, not 'what symbol'! (this is ignorance)
>> Avoid first name in the text citation! (page no - 13 / You have written D. Singh et al. / Remove D, write only Singh et al..... I have found it in 7 places, find out yourself!). I suggest to go through the format of M.Sc. Dissertation that I am attaching here.
>> No reference for Fig. 2.1
>> Print all color pages in color, because you have given color line/symbol in ligend/caption.
>> Add future works (you have not given this), after conclusion (in the same chapter)
>> References are as per format.
>> I could not find any reference in the first page, where you defined MXenes. There should be reference.

I suggest to re-send your revised version of the dissertation to me before hard copy submission to the department so that I can replace the old version. As well as, show your revised version to your Supervisor also.
